Bernie Clarkson Fine Art Painter
Oil Paintings

Oil painting on hand stretched canvas.A woman in a blue and white striped dress holding a bird stands in front of a cottage and lake with mountains in the background. The woman is thoughtful and appears confident. The narrative is open to interpretation however the colours of the landscape are warm and inviting suggesting a safe place. This painting is part of my present project on freedom.

I’m an oil painter and my work is constantly intentionally evolving. A lot of my work features a woman in a landscape juxtaposing the real and imagined with suggestions of thoughtful quiet spaces of contemplation. My present project is about notions of freedom. Landscapes and seascapes also feature in my work.

Doug Haywood
Outdoor installation

Joyfully titled Hallelujah, this light-hearted, site-specific intervention playfully alters three local street signs in Leytonstone. With a wink to pop culture and language, Doug uses subtle wordplay to add an unexpected layer to the familiar.

Taking a pithy approach to the art trail’s theme, the work offers a quiet nudge: less mural, more mischief. It’s a somewhat irreverent nod to an archaic, chart-topping folk song, inviting passersby to question what they’ve seen, or think they’ve seen.

Perhaps it’s a visionary sign. Or just a playful detour on the path to righteousness—after all, not everyone’s an artist, but everyone’s a fracking critic.

Olga Szynkarczuk – Dancers, Mothers, Daughters
Mixed Media

Colour pencil on paper sketch in rainbow colours of dancer @shardae.rose.angel. An ambidextrous mix of rainbow colored gestures. Ethereal, fairly-like, yet at the same time incredibly strong and powerful, a professionally classically trained ballet dancer. Her poses are so gracious, expressive, her body so skinny and elegant. I admire her strength to go against the flow, tackle the issues of promoting eating disorders by the ballet industry and setting up her own dance company.

My passion for combining art and dance began during the Cialo/Umysl foundation Body/Mind Festival (2000). That was the first time I drew the human body in motion live, performing on stage alongside dancers. Over twenty years later, this fascination continues to inspire projects focused on capturing the figure in motion.

Nick Stevens
Oil Paintings

This image is a photograph of a framed painting titled "Five Sardines on Faded Teal" by Nick Stevens. The artwork features five sardines painted in a bold, expressive style. The fish are arranged in a vertical line, one above the other, against a textured background of faded teal. Each sardine is depicted with broad, visible brushstrokes in a mix of silver, blue, purple, and hints of gold, with distinctive dark spots along their bodies. The tailfins are rendered in shades of bronze and brown. The overall effect is vibrant and dynamic, with a sense of movement and a slightly abstracted realism. The painting is displayed in a simple black frame and hangs on a plain white wall.
