I am capturing the suggestion of movement, unity and colour during a moment in time.
I am intrigued by the processes involved in creating that final piece of Art which can convey a multitude of messages to the engaged viewer.
Using paper and acrylic paints as my medium I create colourful textured paper strips by hand-mixing acrylic paints and makings acrylic pours resulting in a range of vibrant colour palettes on the surface of plain paper.
These papers are cut into strips, wrapped or manipulated across the surface of the canvas to produce blocks of colour and layered bands of colourful paper representing unified movements of people.
I enjoy creating abstract work with the emphasis on colour, texture patterns and shapes allowing the viewer to have their own personal interpretation of the finished artwork.
