The abstract work especially the small sized paintings, has the theme of leaves, but it also makes reference to the green man, expressed especially in the large size work that represents fertility.
The series of small A4 leaves are based on the Russian Constructivist Rodchenko and his research called the “101 possibilities” that he created with three geometric shapes in different arrangements. The work is presented with a small photograph of a leaf taken from the internet that gives it its title, or even better, an explanation to the work that originally was conceived as an abstract shape.
